The report matches pay with location by identifying which jobs in each state pay the highest average salary compared to the national average.

The result is a map of the occupations with the highest earning potential, specific to each U.S. state.

The map shows the occupations in each state with the largest differences between the state average salary and the national average wage.

Every state has at least one job that pays at least 25% better than the national average.

In Midwestern states like Minnesota and Indiana, healthcare professionals earn more than in other parts of the country.

Doctors in Indiana earn 38.63% more and dermatologists in Minnesota earn 56.98% more than the average for both professions in the USA.

Three states have business and finance jobs that pay more than 50 percent better than the national average.

Alaska pays personal financial advisors 66.69% more, Nebraska pays credit counselors 59.46% more, and New York pays credit analysts 50.98% more than the U.S. average for these occupations.
